Hip Hop 911 launches hiphop911.org ‘raptivist’ portal
Posted in February 25th, 2012 by hiphop911 | No Comments »In a follow up to the successful STOP THE VIOLENCE concert series that began in St. Louis and ongoing DON’T STOP, DON’T SHOP campaign (Dallas, TX), Hip Hop 911 is taking the raptivist movement online, digital, mobile and social.
“Increasing awareness and offering solutions to the violence, like boycotting businesses that disrespect our communities are two aspects of ongoing issues in cities across America”, says b-gyrl co-founder of Hip Hop 911. “Rather than isolate one or two sympthoms in one or two regions, we’re launching a broader approach by creating a centralized location online where activists and citizens alike could submit or arm themselves with information and connect with progressive movements throughout the US and worldwide.”
